Academic mentoring program with a focus on college preparation during the school year for 3 hours on Mondays.
The primary responsibility of the SEAS team is to identify, and evaluate children who may be eligible for special education services in Denver Public Schools ages 6-21 — this includes children from private schools, with needs for autism assessment & english language learners.
UpLift assists students with the college application process, scholarships and provide support once youth are enrolled in college. Serve some youth with disabilities.
Provide low cost psycho-educational assessments — WISC, WIAT, Wood-Cock Johnson. Wait list for testing is possible, contact the center well in advance of when test scores are needed.
PCDP is structured to ensure that students are academically prepared to enroll and be successful at the University of Colorado or any postsecondary institution of the student’s choice. No specific services for youth with disabilities.
Provide psychological consultation, assessment and treatment services to children and adults. Offer ADHD Management Clinic addressing treatment options for behavior problems associated with ADHD. Provide therapy for adults, families and children.
This program assists students to gain the skills and motivation necessary to complete high school and go on to college. Services include tutoring, academic and career planning and college visits. An eight-week summer program is also offered. No specific programming for youth with disabilities.
Lifelong, Inc. provides psychological and learning disability evaluations. They also provide mental health and life skills counseling services for individuals with “hidden disabilities” including developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, and mental health difficulties. Their goal is to support people to manage their daily lives effectively regardless of the challenges they experience. Service & assessment costs paid by human service & workforce agencies if individual qualifies and is referred by those agencies.
The ACCESS CENTER assists students with documented disabilities in reaching their academic potential by providing qualified students with disabilities reasonable academic accommodations as mandated under ADA and section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. The ACCESS CENTER offers some of the latest adaptive technology. Approved students will receive training and access to a variety of hardware and software products in the computer lab area. Software on site includes, but is not limited to, Read and Write Gold, Dragon Naturally Speaking and ZoomText.
Adult education including Family Literacy, English as a Second Language, College and Workplace transition and GED preparation. Work with students with 4th grade reading level or higher. Programming available in Denver, Lakewood, Centennial and Aurora.
