College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP)

The College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) is a federally funded program that assists migrant and seasonal farm workers and persons working in agriculturally related activities pursue higher education. Have worked with youth with learning disabilities in the past.

GEAR UP

A follow up program helping to orient youth toward college. Students begin in the 7th grade and continue in GEAR UP until 12th grade. Students who complete the program are eligible for a scholarship. GEAR also works with the community in various capacities to ensure that low-income youth are able to successfully prepare for college.

Access Center for Disability Accommodations and Adaptive Technology

The ACCESS CENTER assists students with documented disabilities in reaching their academic potential by providing qualified students with disabilities reasonable academic accommodations as mandated under ADA and section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. The ACCESS CENTER offers some of the latest adaptive technology. Approved students will receive training and access to a variety of hardware and software products in the computer lab area. Software on site includes, but is not limited to, Read and Write Gold, Dragon Naturally Speaking and ZoomText.

Upward Bound

This program assists students to gain the skills and motivation necessary to complete high school and go on to college. Services include tutoring, academic and career planning and college visits. An eight-week summer program is also offered. No specific programming for youth with disabilities.
