To promote and enhance equality for people with disabilities through empowerment, advocacy and education by working with community members, and City & County of Denver officials and employees who have the ability to affect change. Disability Law Colorado

Disability Law Colorado provides free or low-cost legal services to people with disabilities whose civil rights have been violated. We may be able to accept your case if it relates to housing discrimination, service animals, employment discrimination, abuse/neglect, seclusion/restraint, special education, or other areas we work in. Provide very specific legal services for people with disabilities such as dispute resolution for cases concerning Vocational Rehabilitation (called the Client Assistance Program), assistance with ensuring children get appropriate education, representation for housing complaints, and advocacy on behalf of people with disabilities regarding assistive technology needs in partnership with Colorado Assistive Technology Project. Also, provide assistance with PABSS (Protection and Advocacy of Beneficiaries of Social Security). Fees: YES, on occasion

Parents Encouraging Parents (PEP)

PEP is a two and a half day conference. The Colorado Department of Education pays for all participant meals (excluding Friday evening) and lodging. The purpose of this conference is to bring parents and other professionals together, allowing them an opportunity to share ideas, discuss concerns, celebrate successes, and obtain information relating to parenting, educating and supporting a child with a disability.
