Provide GED accommodations forms and ultimately, approve accommodations requests. Accommodations can include extra time, oral presentation of questions, use of a scribe for writing, etc.
College In Colorado is a free service of the Colorado Department of Higher Education, providing Colorado’s only comprehensive online Career and Postsecondary Planning tool. Several resources for students with disabilities and their families are available on the site. Much of the Career/College website is available in Spanish. There is a pre-recorded Webinar available on the site that previews the website’s features specific to students with disabilities.
SEAC is an advisory council committed to ensuring that all students in the Denver Public Schools (DPS) receive a free and appropriate education in the least restrictive environment.
Provides help with GED or diploma as well as job training in a residential program. A disability coordinator is available to help youth with disabilities receive the services and accommodations they need to be success
Accessibilty services provided for RRCC students upon intake and approval. Provides prep classes for RRCC students in math and language arts to prepare for the Community College Placement Test (CCPT). Administers specific professional tests for licensing and certification in construction, customer service, finance, information technology, service industry & transportation industries.
PEP is a two and a half day conference. The Colorado Department of Education pays for all participant meals (excluding Friday evening) and lodging. The purpose of this conference is to bring parents and other professionals together, allowing them an opportunity to share ideas, discuss concerns, celebrate successes, and obtain information relating to parenting, educating and supporting a child with a disability.
